In 2019, my first novel Through The Wall will be published by Avon (Harper Collins), with a second book to follow in 2020. The German rights have been bought by Heyne publishing following an auction.
I’m represented for all things fiction by Diana Beaumont at Marjacq.
Through The Wall is a novel about two women who live next door to each other but never meet – rather they hear every detail of each other’s lives through the shared wall of their flat, and form preconceptions about one another that turn out to be very far from reality.
Phoebe Morgan, Senior Commissioning Editor at Avon said: ‘The moment I started reading Through The WallI was hooked. It has such universal appeal – who hasn’t cursed the thin walls of a block of flats at some point in their life? – and Caroline has created two wonderfully nuanced characters who leapt off the page and into my heart. This is dark women’s fiction at its finest, exploring themes of motherhood, social media, and how we can often be at our loneliest in the middle of a crowd. The ending will leave you gasping for breath.’
Diana Beaumont said: ‘I am hugely excited that Avon will be launching such an exciting new talent. Caroline explores issues that are so relevant to the lives many women lead today and with a plot that will leave your heart pounding.’
